Trabajar con tintas sobre diferentes materiales como la lana, el algodón, etc me ha permitido conocer más sobre como se pueden conseguir diferentes texturas y patrones. La técnica que usamos fue Shibori y gracias a las indicaciones de Ysabel de Maisonneuve. // Working with inks on different materials such as wool, cotton, etc. has allowed me to learn more about how you can get different textures and patterns. The technique we used was Shibori and indications by Ysabel de Maisonneuve.

La experiencia con Patrice Sébille (artesano de colchones) ha sido increible, no solo por poder crear un colchón desde cero y saber como hacerlo sino también porque nos ha contado su experiencia de crear simples colchones hasta convertirse en un atelier para grandes firmas o productos únicos. Aquí pueden ver algunas de las fotos del proceso y del producto final... ahora veo el valor tan grande que tiene un colchón hecho a mano y con lana!  //
The experience with Patrice Sébille (craftsman mattresses) has been amazing, not only to create a mattress from the begining and know how to do it but also because he have told us his experience to create simple mattresses into a studio for large firms or unique products . Here you can see some pictures of the process and the final product ... and now I see the value of a handmade mattress with wool!

Master Class Wool part2

Hoy trabajamos con la técnica del fieltro, trabajamos la lana (semi) virgen y la convertimos en objetos... es un trabajo muy duro. Ya que lleva muchas horas... primero haciendo una muestra con agua, jabón y muchas horas de trabajo al mover las fibras para que se junten (ya que el fieltro/lana se encoje) y luego realizando la pieza. Al final el resultado ha sido una boina francesa! voilá!!! Gracias a la asociación Lainamac (Krystel Chavigny & Géraldine Cauchy).

 // Today we work with the art of felt, wool (semi) virgin and become objects ... is very hard work. Since it takes many hours ... first making a sample with water, soap and a lot of work to move the fibers to get together (as the felt / wool shrinks) and then performing the piece. The end result has been a French beret! voilá! Thanks to the Lainamac Association (Krystel Chavigny & Géraldine Cauchy).

He tenido la fortuna de ganar la beca para hacer el Master Class for Wool en la Bergerie Nationale!! Está haciendo una semana muy intensa y quiero ir contando un poco el trabajo que estamos haciendo aquí. Hemos tenido la fortuna de conocer a Marie-Thérese Chaupin (experta en Lana). Aquí unas fotos del primer día. // I've been fortunate to win a scholarship to do a Master Class for Wool at the Bergerie Nationale! It's being a very intense week and want to tell a little of the work we are doing here. We have been fortunate to meet Marie-Therese Chaupin (Wool expert). Here some pictures of the first day.
